Chiara Galvan

Chartered Physiotherapist, MCSP, MHCPC, Certified Classical Pilates Instructor

Maria Chiara Galvan is a Physiotherapist from Italy, after her graduation in 2010 she worked for four years in Trieste, treating orthopaedic and neurological patients.
She deepened her professional education by continuing studying Orthopaedic Manual Therapy techniques and Kenzo Kase’s Kinesio Taping Method both in Italy and in New York.
In 2013, she graduated with a Post Graduation Master in Human Posture Science at Sapienza University of Rome, developing her final Thesis on the efficiency of Pilates’ method in back pain treatment.
Fascinated by Pilates’ principles in rehabilitation, in 2014 she decided to move to New York City and certify as a Romana’s Pilates Instructor at True Pilates New York.
Chiara has a special interest in the treatment of dance injuries, and in the role of Physiotherapy and Pilates in sports injuries and spinal pain; following this passion, during her stay in New York City she approaches the Rehabilitation Principles for performing artists and dancers both in Broadway Theatres and at the American Ballet School.
She is currently completing an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London developing her final research about the efficiency of Pilates in dancers with scoliosis.
